Please Note! This list has been completely replaced several times in the past 2 days since August 20th because of some technical problems. If you've already gone shopping based on an earlier version of this list, you should print a new copy and compare your shopping list with this current list.

Student Supplies List for all 7th & 8th grade classes

Each student needs the following items for personal use --
Bring to school ON THE FIRST DAY the items in bold print:

  • Internet Access (at home, if possible)
  • Books: The Circuit and Breaking Through by Francisco Jimenez (1 each, books can be donated to the school or kept; please label appropriately)
  • White Tennis Shoes (labeled with student name, for PE-won’t go home until June)
  • Book bag or Backpack (labeled)
  • Lunch Container (labeled)
  • Kleenex (4 large boxes, recycled paper if possible; will be kept in homeroom)
  • Paper Towels (4 large rolls, recycled paper if possible; will be kept in homeroom)
  • 2" Three Ring Binder (1, hardback with pockets, for science)
  • 1 ½" Three Ring Binder (1, with clear front sleeve)
  • 2" or 3" Three Ring Binder
  • 3-Prong Folder (1, with pockets, any color)
  • Binder Dividers (1 package of 6 – 8)
  • Loose Leaf Notebook Paper (college or wide ruled, 2 reams, recycled if possible)
  • Composition Books (2, hardbound, 10" X 1 7/8", "Lab Notebook" type)
  • Graph Paper Spiral Notebooks (2, 4x4 squares per square inch, for math)
  • One Subject Spiral Bound Notebooks (2, college ruled, for history)
  • One Subject Spiral Bound Notebook (1, wide ruled, for language arts)
  • Pencil Pouch with Disc Holder pocket (should fit in the rings of a binder)
  • Computer Disks (1, labeled)
  • USB Compact Flash Memory (1 "stick," 64 MB is enough; example: 128MB @ Fry’s $19.99)
  • #2 Pencils (2 dozen)
  • Pencil Sharpener (1, with shavings catcher)
  • Pink Erasers (2)
  • Unibal Pens (2 each, fine point, blue and black)
  • Erasable Pens (2, black)
  • Colored Ink Pens (2, not blue or black, for editing)
  • Highlighters (1 package of assorted colors; blue, green, yellow, orange, pink)
  • Crayons (1 box)
  • Colored Pencils (1 box)
  • Glue Stick
  • 12" Ruler (1, with both "inch" and metric markings)
  • Scissors (1 large pair)
  • Compass (1 for math, good quality)
  • Protractor (1 for math, good quality)
  • Disposable camera
  • Folding Pocket Magnifier (1, 7X minimum, with lanyard. Order from Ms. Anex for $6 the first week of school, or from, for example, hometrainingtools.com)

Note: no calculator use will be allowed in math or science.

Binder and pencil pouch should come to school on the first day supplied with paper, pen, pencil, eraser, ruler, scissors, math tools, highlighter(s), computer disk. If you wish to order the Pocket Magnifier, please include $6.

Plus, all 7th & 8th grade students will need the following for Ag Science:

  • 1 composition book (black & white marble cover) to use in Ag Scienc
